Debbie Owens


Debbie serves as the Executive Director of Seminole Prevention Coalition, a non-profit organization aimed at preventing underage drinking, reducing prescription drug abuse, and eliminating the risks of tobacco use and substance abuse in the community. She is passionate about strengthening communities through education in the areas of mental/physical health and substance abuse. After 34 years as a teacher and dean of students, Debbie continues to pursue her passion for education through her involvement as President of the Board of Directors for Central Florida Cares Health System; Chair of Seminole County’s Child Abuse Prevention Task Force (CAPTF); and a member of multiple Central Florida initiatives and committees working to provide a safe, healthy and drug free community. Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education K-12 from the University of South Florida
