Job Title: Outreach Coordinator

Direct Supervisor: Executive Director

Salary: $43,000, Salaried – Exempt

Overall impression of this opportunity

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for educating the community about RCCF’s programs including the online Central Florida Recovery Resource guide, the Central Florida Recovery Resource Hotline, the Recovery Community Centers, and new programs.  They will supervise the necessary personnel to successfully execute outreach strategies.

How you will help our community

Ø  Engage and educate the community on addiction, addiction recovery, and RCCF programs

Ø  Passionately present to local groups, service clubs, faith-based, schools, and in other settings

Ø  Share information through tabling at community events and similar outreach opportunities

Ø  Recruit, supervise, and oversee the daily activities of the Outreach Specialists

Ø  Relay information to the Programs team about additional resources available in the community to be added to the online Central Florida Recovery Resource guide

Ø  Oversee the development, implementation, and management of the RCCF Outreach strategy in collaboration with the leadership team

Ø  Manage compliance with outreach related budgets

Ø  Ensure grant objectives are achieved and provide outreach data to the leadership team

Ø  Strategically map with the leadership team the agency’s future goals and objectives

Ø  Assist the leadership team in setting goals that promote organizational growth, an inclusive company culture, and meaningful impact in the community

Ø  Provide annual performance reviews of direct reporting employees

Ø  Support the Programs team as needed

Ø  Other duties as needed

·        Demonstrated community outreach experience

·        Demonstrated supervisory experience

·        Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills

·        Ability to be a self-starter and work independently

·        Well-developed networking skills

·        Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·        Availability to work some nights and weekends

·        Ability to travel locally within the 4-county (75% of the time)

·        Familiarity with addiction recovery (Preferred)

Peer Recovery Specialist

Job Title: Peer Recovery Specialist

Direct Supervisor: Programs Coordinator

Salary: $40,000, Salaried – Exempt

The Peer Recovery Specialist is responsible for answering inbound calls for the Central Florida Recovery Resource Hotline.  They will receive hotline calls and connect with people seeking support by aiding them in navigating local resources and sharing their personal recovery experiences.  Additionally, they will update information for the online Central Florida Recovery Resource guide.

How you will help our community

Ø  Share their personal experiences in recovery with individuals calling the Central Florida Recovery Resource Hotline for support

Ø  Log related assessment and outcome data for each hotline call

Ø  Ensure the online Central Florida Recovery Resource guide is updated regularly to reflect current community support and accurate contact information

Ø  Connect with walk-ins seeking support at the Recovery Community Center

Ø  Support the Outreach team as needed

Ø  Other duties as needed

 

The experience we hope you have

·        Hold a current certification as Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS), comparable national certification for Recovery Peer Support Services, or eligibility and willingness to receive certification within one year.

·        Substantial experience working with individuals with Substance Use Disorder and addiction recovery

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·        Passion for supporting those struggling with addiction and seeking recovery

·        Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays

·        Previous hotline experience (Preferred)

They will receive hotline calls and connect with people seeking support by aiding them in navigating local resources and sharing their personal recovery experiences.

How you will help our community

Ø  Ensure the online Central Florida Recovery Resource guide is updated regularly to reflect current community support and accurate contact information

Ø  Share their personal experiences in recovery with individuals calling into the Central Florida Recovery Resource Hotline for support

Ø  Log related assessment and outcome data for each hotline call

Ø  Recruit, supervise, and oversee the daily activities of Certified Recovery Peer Specialists (CRPS) staffing the hotline and other programs

Ø  Design, develop, and implement policy for programs in collaboration with the leadership team

Ø  Ensure grant objectives are achieved and provide program outcome data to the leadership team

Ø  Strategically map with the leadership team the agency’s future goals and objectives
